Forget Me Not - Phone/Belonging Separation Alert

Forget Me Not is a two-part reminder system. The alert system and the tracking tag work together to ensure you always have your belongings. The two components stay in constant communication with each other over a low-power connection. The alert system stays with you and when it loses connection with the tag, it vibrates to remind you to grab what you've left behind. 

Forget Me Not is its own independent system. It doesn't require another device, service, or app to function. 

If your phone is dead, Forget Me Not still works. If you don't have signal, Forget Me Not still works. If you're out of the country, Forget Me Not still works. If you don't want another never-ending subscription, Forget Me Not still works. 

The tag and the alert system work together. That's it. No hoops to jump through, no other device required. 

The alert system can be worn on your wrist similar to a watch, around your neck on a necklace or lanyard, or you can put it in your pocket. Anywhere you can feel the vibration is a good place. The tag is unobtrusive and can be attached to nearly anything or placed in any pocket. This makes the Forget Me Not system extremely versatile and functional in many situations. 

The alert system is rechargeable and has a micro USB port to remain as slim as possible. Just a few minutes of charging will last you all day. The tracking tag uses a replaceable CR2016 battery which can last up to 8 months. Both parts of the system are "lite" and "light" meaning they are both energy-efficient and lightweight.

Forget Me Not doesn't connect to other devices and can't connect to the internet. It's for you, and you alone. Because the tag and the alert system only talk to each other, you don't have to worry about unwanted tracking or snooping. There's no GPS system to follow you around the globe and show where you are at any moment. No one else can connect to your tag and follow your possessions or you around. 

If you have kids, they're always leaving their stuff everywhere. Some tracking systems can help with that, but if they need a phone or other device, you're solving one problem and creating a new one. With Forget Me Not, your kids can have a reminder to remember their coat, bag, or anything else without having a phone. No social media, no apps, no internet connection needed. Just a local reminder without creating other problems and costs for your child. If their school doesn't allow them to have a phone, Forget Me Not still works. 

Forget Me Not is not a key finder. A key finder allows you to find a lost item once you know you have lost it and it is within a certain range from the key finder remote. If you are further than the specified range, the key finder is useless. However, the Forget Me Not works in opposite fashion by alerting you as soon as you start to get away from your belonging.

Forget Me Not is not an AirTag or a track-anywhere system. No one, not even you, can see where your things are on a map anywhere in the world. It's a proximity-based reminder so that instead of tracking where your belongings have gone or where they are now, you don't let them out of your sight. If your wallet drops, you find out as soon as you're out of range, not hours later. If you leave your bag, you can go right back and grab it, not watch it move on a map after you've left it. Don't leave your things behind in the first place.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Fully charge the wearable until the red charge LED turns off!  Next, touch the button until you see a blue LED turn on. The blue led will then flash to indicate the system is in operation.

To save battery you can put it in sleep mode while not in use by touching the button until a red LED turns on. When the battery gets low, an LED will start blinking fast and the buzzer will buzz 3 times, then stops. It is time for you to charge the wearable battery.

Q:What happens when I leave my belonging and walk away from it.

A:Once you are several feet away from your belonging the wearable starts vibrating and continues to vibrate untill you are back within the vacinity of your belonging. At that time the vibration stops. You can stop the vibration whenever you want to as you are going back to your belonging by holding the button untill the vibration stops.

Q: Do I need to do something specific when I receive it for it to work?

A: When you receive your Forget Me Not, it will be in sleep mode to conserve battery. You should exit sleep mode by pressing the button untill you see a blue led light. Make sure you first fully charge the battery before using it. Please see the included guide.

Q: Does it come fully chaged?

A: When you first receive your Forget Me Not you need to fully charge the battery using the included USB cable before using it. 

Q: How do I know the rechargable battery is about to be out of charge?

A: When the battery is about to run out of charge, the wearable will vibrate once every 30s 3 times in a row. In addition the LED will flash at a fast rate. At that time you are expected to recharge the battery.

Q: What happens if the battery runs out of charge i.e, dies?

A: When the battery runs out of charge, the device will stop operating, and you will no longer see the LED flashing. You will need to charge it and the device will go back to normal operation once finished. While the battery is charging, the red charging LED will remain on. It turns off whenever the battery is fully charged.

Q: How long will it last on a full charged battery?

A: On a full charge, the device will operate up to one week or more depending on the usage. To save the battery, you can put it in sleep mode when not in use, especially at night. To put the device in sleep mode hold the button, as shown in the attachment, untill you see the red LED light up.
